Hotels

We have reserved a block of 10 rooms at the Springhill Suites in downtown Seattle. This is approximately .9 miles from the wedding location. Reserved price is $179/night for a King suite + pull-out bed. Parking is extra.

There are many other places in Seattle you could stay that might be cheaper (but further away). Consult Yelp or try these:

  • Ace Hotel (in Belltown; cool hipster joint; $89/night for room with a shared bathroom down the hall)
  • The Maxwell Hotel (in Queen Anne; super new; should be very nice; $209)
  • Residence Inn (South Lake Union – good for extended stays)
  • Marqueen Hotel (Queen Anne; close to the Space Needle; cheaper)
  • Moore Hotel (downtown; old and on the cheap side; close to Pike Place Market; around $90 for a room with a shared bathroom down the hall)
  • Silver Cloud Hotel (seems nice; straight shot down Broadway to the wedding;  probably $150-$180/night)

Transportation

If you’re from out of town, you have several options. If you’re at the Springhill Suites, you can MAYBE walk. It’s a hike up a hill and nearly a mile, but totally manageable for the young and fit. If you’d rather not walk, a cab ride should be less then $10. Sorry we’re not providing shuttle service. We’re lame. Oh, you could also skateboard. Also, you can drive (see parking above).

Food & Drink

Yes! Full dinner & dessert, plus appetizers, beer, & wine will be served. Come hungry. No chili dogs will be served. (Sorry, mom.) Menu is here. We’ll eat around 7ish.

Entertainment

Dancing. Toasts. We’re iPoding it. Maybe drunken fools, too. Whatever YOU provide.

I’ll be there, and be square.

I guess this means I have to buy a dress in April so I will have one in August. Dang, I was hoping we could wear jeans. Is that totally off the table?
